In his address Prof. Crawford set out why:
- Radical transformation of the food system is inevitable
- Taking a whole food system approach will unlock value that is limited only by our willingness to use collective imagination (share/collaborate)
- A new partnership between scientists and farmers will accelerate discovery and impact
- Technology’s role is to enable this food system approach
- Carbon may not be the main story, co-benefits could be greater
- We are going to need full engagement of the financial sector
