Scottish Alliance for Food

Join us for two sandpits, to be held online via SpatialChat, in response to the recent funding call by UKRI/Defra "Diet and Health: collaborative research and development grants"

The two sessions are online, independent from each other, and aim to support the formation of teams ahead of the EOI deadline on Tuesday, 3rd March.

The call supports academia-industry collaborative R&D projects (up to £800k) focused on novel food innovations and products that support healthy, sustainable, and resilient diets in the UK. Themes in scope include:

  • Biofortification
  • food reformulation and processing to improve nutritional value and affordability
  • consumer behaviour and drivers of food choice
  • resilience of food systems and supply chains

Projects are required to have at least one industry partner, with an industry contribution of 30% which can be made by an individual project partner or by a consortium.

We invite you to take part in one or both online sessions to pitch ideas, shape emerging proposals and connect with academic and industry collaborators.

SCAF is exploring additional activities to support teams moving forward to the next stage.

To take part, please register for one or both sessions below:
