Thursday 26th of March marks the second annual World Bannock Day: a celebration co-created by Scottish food historians and enthusiasts to mark the birthday of Florence Marian McNeill, and bring together lovers of Scottish food from around the world. But what is a bannock? And who was McNeill, and why is she important to Scottish food history today?

Join food historian Dr Lindsay Middleton and award-winning food writer Peter Gilchrist for a celebration of World Bannock Day to learn about bannocks, McNeill, and the folklore and history behind what should be a nationally celebrated Scottish dish.
