The Glasgow Lab for Health Data Science and AI (GLABDA)
The Glasgow Lab for Health Data Science and AI (GLABDA) is a multidisciplinary group that integrates expertise in health data science, artificial intelligence, epidemiology, statistics, and clinical medicine to address challenges in health and biomedical research. In alignment with the University of Glasgow’s strategic vision, GLABDA applies best-practice methods and state-of-the-art data science and artificial intelligence techniques to the analysis of large-scale, heterogeneous datasets from diverse sources.

Our Mission
Our mission is to advance human health through rigorous, innovative, and collaborative research. By bringing together experts from multiple disciplines, we aim to generate robust evidence that informs clinical practice, public health policy, and future research directions. Our work is grounded in methodological excellence, transparency, and reproducibility, ensuring that our findings deliver a meaningful impact.
We are committed to capacity building and skill development, providing training and mentorship opportunities to equip the next generation of health-data-enabled researchers with the expertise to address evolving health challenges.
Through our teaching, research, and partnerships, GLABDA seeks to make a sustained contribution to improving health at local, national, and international levels.
