Exploring the complex and evolving landscape of gambling

At Gambling Research Glasgow, we explore the complex and evolving landscape of gambling and gambling harms through a uniquely interdisciplinary lens. Our work spans the social sciences, cultural studies, public health, statistics, and policy analysis—uniting diverse perspectives to generate robust, independent evidence that informs policy, practice, and public understanding.

Our research is organised across several key areas, each addressing critical dimensions of gambling and its societal impacts. From the lived experiences of individuals and communities to the structural forces shaping gambling environments, our work is grounded in rigorous inquiry and a commitment to social relevance.
