Inclusive Research

Gambling Research Glasgow is committed to embedding lived experience at the heart of its research into gambling harms.

We have co-developed inclusive language guidelines with affected communities to promote respectful, person-first communication, and we actively consult with the Addictions Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (APPIE) network - a national network of people with lived experience of addiction - aligning with its eight principles for meaningful involvement.

As part of the NIHR-funded Addictions Policy Research Unit, we champion co-production and inclusive practice, including the introduction of lived experience submissions at the 2025 CAGR conference, ensuring that those most impacted help shape the future of gambling research.
