PhD Studentships
A prestigious and distinctive three-year full time PhD programme was formed within GLAZgo Discovery Centre for four students.
The programme capitalises on the expertise of the GLAZgo Centre incorporating academics within the Institute of Infection, Immunology and Inflammation (IIIs) and scientists at AstraZeneca, and offers an outstanding opportunity for students to undertake excellent project-based research training within world-class research environments. The programme fosters a deep understanding of the research approach at the interface with the pharmaceutical industry.
The student spend their time primarily in the Institute of Infection, Immunity & Inflammation with the option of a placement at an AstraZeneca site. This is an important part of an integrated programme offering a truly exceptional educational support programme, with maximal exposure to state-of-the-art technology in the Immunobiology field and an insight to pharmaceutical research and development.
