We integrate a number of platforms, including, but not limited to:
- Vertebrate and invertebrate animal models

for the recapitulation of the complex system of drug delivery within the morphological architecture of cancer. As a result we will widen the horizon of personalised oncology by developing novel effective molecules towards specific subsets of cancers, matched to genomic, transcriptomic, epigenetic, proteomic, metabolomic, and metagenomic features of the tumour and the microenvironment.
Specific areas covered:
- Modelling cancer in-vivo using a range of animals from mice to Drosophila
- Establish Patient Derived Models, also called mini tumours in the lab, as a platform for drug testing
- Mimic the microenvironment from assembling complex ex-vivo models that recapitulate all the component of human tumours
- Establish activity of novel drugs to prioritise the clinical testing
- Modelling cancer in-vitro to allow dissection of key specific biological alterations
- Generate replica of longitudinal cancer evolutions
- Tackling cancer treatment resistance and relapse using patient-derived models
