CCSE Reading Group: Jack Parkinson: PhD so far

Published: 27 September 2021

Jack presents the work he has done in the first two years of his PhD and his plans for the coming year.

DATE: 27th September 2021
TIME: 13:00-14:00
LOCATION: CCSE Online Seminar Room
DESCRIPTION:

I am just about to complete the second year of my PhD. It has been a challenging journey, not least because of the pandemic rearing its head halfway through my first year, but I am glad to share my achievements so far. In this presentation I will be explaining my PhD thesis and detailing the various experiments and studies I have been able to complete, then presenting my ideas for my third year of study (which will mostly wrap up the work that I have been conducting). There is no set reading to complete (unless you would like to read my published work in which contributes to my thesis, attached, though I will be summarising these works in the presentation) so please just bring yourself and your thinking cap to the session, and I will welcome any criticisms and suggestions at the end of the session.

The presentation will be roughly 30 minutes, followed by a 10-15 minute breakout room discussion session and a 10-15 minute Q&A/open discussion session at the end.
