Travelling to Glasgow

Students arriving from outside the UK

The Scottish Government website has the latest guidance on entering Scotland from abroad.

This includes information on:

  • the information and contact details you will need to provide before travelling to the UK
  • self-isolating (quarantining) on arrival in Scotland
  • countries that are exempt from the quarantine restrictions

If you are travelling to the UK from abroad, please ensure you are familiar with the latest government guidance. This includes:

  • people travelling from a country of permanent residence
  • people returning from holiday
  • people who have transited via a non-exempt country

Students returning to Glasgow from other parts of the UK

You will be required to quarantine for 14 days on arrival in Glasgow if you are returning from:

  • a part of the UK which is currently under local lockdown restrictions
  • a part of the UK where testing is being offered locally for people who do not have symptoms, as part of the public health response arrangements
