Public Engagement

All BBSRC PhD students are required to carry out two days of public engagement activities per year.

Example of public engagement can be:

  • Helping at your local science festival 
  • Conservation activities
  • Becoming a STEM ambassador
  • Volunteering with community projects
  • Science school visits /mentoring
  • Presenting to lay visitors in a school environment
