Eduardo Zelada

- Lancaster University

Eduardo was born in Peru and earned his MSc in Biology from KU Leuven in Belgium, and his BSc from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Peru. Eduardo is now a CASE PhD student at Lancaster University. His project looks at non-chemical seed priming treatments to enhance germination and stress tolerance in horticultural crops. His research interests include seed biology and plant stress responses, with the goal of increasing the planting value of seed crops in unfavourable conditions. Outside of the lab, Eduardo can mostly be found doing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and sometimes going for a concert or an exhibit.
