Kim Hamer

- University of Glasgow

Kim is a veterinary surgeon, an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in sheep medicine and a European small ruminant specialist (diplomate of the European College of Small Ruminant Health Management). Kim has worked in rural mixed and farm animal clinical veterinary practice, and more recently as an Academic Clinician at the University of Glasgow’s School of Veterinary Medicine.

Kim is a published researcher, with publications in parasitology, micro-mineral nutrition, neurology and other topics associated with sheep health. Her current research interests include antibiotic use in remote rural settings and how a digital diagnostic decision-support tool could help improve clinical outcomes for sheep and goats in sub-Saharan Africa.
