Research title: A Case Study on Project-Based Language Learning in Chinese High School English Education: Student Experiences, Teacher Transformation, and Pedagogical Implications
Research Summary
My research asks if project-based language learning can work inside China’s exam-heavy high-school English classes. I ran an approximately five-week travel-themed project with 56 Grade-10 students in China. Planning presentations and making short videos pushed them to speak and write more, and it turned the teacher from lecturer to guide. The work shows that small, well-planned projects can live alongside test prep and still give students real chances to use English.
