Research Summary
My research focuses on examining the health impacts of multimorbidity, frailty, and sarcopenia, particularly in relation to cardiovascular and metabolic health. Currently, for my PhD, I am studying how healthy dietary fats and physical activity, especially resistance training, influence muscle function and overall health in middle-aged and elderly individuals with multiple health conditions.
Teaching
With over a decade of expertise, I have been dedicated to undergraduate teaching in Chile, specializing in a range of subjects that include Nutricional Biochemistry, Clinical Nutrition for Adults, Diet Therapy for Adults and Older Adults, Research Methodology, and Research Seminar. I have also played a crucial role as a supervisor for both undergraduate and postgraduate thesis.
