Biography:

I hold a BSc and an MSc in Epidemiology, and I am particularly interested in studying the patterns of occurrence and potential risk factors of different mental disorders. During my MSc, I conducted a longitudinal study for my dissertation, examining the relationship between air pollution, cognitive ability, and subclinical psychotic symptoms using data from the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children (ALSPAC) cohort.

I am currently in the first year in the Public Health PhD programme. My PhD research focuses on the epidemiology of Major Depressive Disorder using data from the UK Biobank cohort. I am based in the Department of Mental Health and Wellbeing within the School of Health and Wellbeing at the University of Glasgow.

Prior to my MSc, I worked as a Teaching Assistant for diferent Epidemiology-related courses in the Department of Epidemiology at Jazan University, Saudi Arabia (2020-2022).

I am interested in research collaborations that contribute to my development as a health researcher.
