The Prospects Postgraduate Awards is the only annual event dedicated solely to celebrating best practice and the most exciting campaigns and developments in UK postgraduate education.

The awards are run by Prospects, the UK’s leading postgraduate education publisher. Chief executive Mike Hill said: “It’s fantastic to see such a high calibre of entries from some of the UK’s leaders in postgraduate education. Each year we’re overwhelmed by the support and excitement we receive. Congratulations to the Medical Genetics team who have demonstrated a wide breadth of ways to support their students.”

Holly Morrison, one of the students who nominated the Medical Genetics Team for the award, said “I nominated the Medical Genetics Teaching Team for the Prospects Postgraduate Awards 2014 because I really believe that the team deserve recognition for the fantastic job they do. I did a Masters in Medical Genetics in 2013–14 and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The team were committed to delivering an excellent standard of teaching and trying innovative methods to keep everyone in the class interested. The class was treated like a big family and I think this was great for all of the students – home and international alike. The team went above and beyond to make sure everyone was coping with their work during the degree and also helped us with our future career plans. I know all of my classmates would join me in thanking the Medical Genetics Teaching Team for an amazing year.”

The Prospects Postgraduate Awards are sponsored by University Business. The 10-member judging panel includes representatives from the NUS, the Higher Education Academy, the Association of Graduate Recruiters and the Higher Education Funding Council for England.
