The Department of Urban Studies at the University of Glasgow has received full professional accreditation for its three postgraduate planning courses from the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).

The Department of Urban Studies at the University of Glasgow is delighted to announce that it has received full professional accreditation from the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) for its three postgraduate planning courses:

• MSc in City and Regional Planning
• MSc in City Planning and Regeneration
• MSc in City Planning and Real Estate Development

This follows a highly successful visit to the University by an RTPI Accreditation Board that commended Urban Studies for its “very strong and well integrated teaching team” and praised the quality of student work as “amongst the best we see on our visits”

Professor Ken Gibb, Head of the Department of Urban Studies, said:

“Almost all those graduating from these programmes this year have already secured appointments with top quality employers and once again, demand from prospective students for places on these highly regarded programmes has outstripped supply for the coming year. We welcome the formal recognition that the Royal Town Planning Institute has now given to these professional programmes and look forward to working with the RTPI in the years ahead to ensure their continued success.”
