British Academy Centenary Lecture in Politics

Only a limited number of tickets is left for the British Academy Centenary Lecture in Politics on Thursday 16th May at 6.30pm.

More then threequarter of the tickets for the British Academy Centenary Lecture in Politics on 16th May have been taken up.

The lecture, 'A Hundred Years of Studying Politics: What Have We Got to Show for it?'will be delivered by Professor Brian Barry FBA on Thursday 16th May at 6.30pm in Gilmorehill G12, 9 University Avenue, followed by a reception at 7.30pm.

Brian Barry is currently Arnold A Saltzman Professor at Columbia University, New York and Emeritus Professor of Political Science at the LSE. His prize-winning books include Theories of Justice (1990), Justice as Impartiality (1995), and his controversial critique of multiculturalism Culture and Equality (2001). Polity Press will publish his Why Social Justice Matters in 2002.

The British Academy was established in 1902 as the national academy for the Humanities & Social Sciences. The lecture is part of its centenary celebrations.
