Student Engagement Monitoring

Introduction

The University of Glasgow’s UKVI Sponsor Licence, and our ability to sponsor international students, are dependent on accurate and timely attendance monitoring.

To ensure on-going compliance the University is introducing new practices, especially in the areas of student engagement monitoring. Changing our processes greatly influences a broader, future ambition to ensure we provide data-informed processes that can boost student well-being, success, and engagement across individual students and the wider community.

As we move through a phased adoption, and to ensure we are not left with any gaps, it is essential that Schools continue to carry out their current engagement monitoring arrangement until further notice.

Colleague Briefing Sessions

Online briefing sessions will run from January 2025 to keep colleagues up-to-date with the implementation of new processes for student visa attendance monitoring. Attendance is highly recommended to ensure colleagues feel confident with changes and are aware of any actions they need to consider.

Regular updates will continue throughout Semester 2 as new processes are embedded within Schools.
