UOFG TOGETHER: COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS PROGRAMME

Our new Community Connections programme launches!

Want to meet new people but feel a bit nervous? Feeling lonely and not sure how to build your network of friends? Need a friendly face and some support to help you ease you in to meeting new people?

‌The Community Connections Programme may be for you! It is a four week, staff led series designed to help our students meet new people, build a sense of belonging, and support you to get more involved in university life. Activities focus on fun, low pressure social activities—ranging from culture and crafts to sports, games, and environmental interests!

‌Each group provides a consistent point of contact, friendly follow ups if you miss a session, and an easy way to connect with others who share your interests. It’s a simple, supportive way to feel more at home at UofG and discover new communities on campus!

‌You can access the programme by speaking to your local Student Support Officer (contact details here), your practitioner if you’re already with Counselling and Wellbeing or your Disability Advisor if already supported by the service.

‌You can also drop the Community Team an email directly on uofgtogether@glasgow.ac.uk for more information.
