Get the most out of being a student with some student discounts including; travel, food and student life.

One of the biggest perks of being a student is easily getting student discounts, so in this blog, I have collated some of the best student discounts ranging across travel, food, and student life to ensure you get the most out of student discounts.

Travel

Train Travel

You can save money on train travel if you buy a railcard. There are different railcards available depending on your age, situation, or whether you travel frequently with somebody else. If you are under the age of 18, you can also use your Young Scot card when booking for discounted travel.

Bus Travel

People under the age of 21, who live in Scotland for at least six months a year, can apply for a free bus pass. You can use this to travel on most bus services in Scotland for free.

Subway Travel

If you use your bus pass or purchase a Subway Smartcard, you can get a discounted subway fee.

Food

  • Bar Soba - 40% discount off food and 20% discount off drinks.
  • Bella Italia - 30% discount (Mondays to Thursdays).
  • COSMO - 10% discount (Mondays to Thursdays)
  • Las Iguanas - 25% discount (only applies to the food on your bill; drinks are excluded along with other offers and set menus).
  • Monterey Jacks - 10% discount.
  • Nando’s - 20% discount (Mondays to Wednesdays)
  • Pizza Hut - 20% discount (Sundays to Thursdays). 
  • Stack & Still - 25% discount.
  • Taco Mazama - 10% discount.
  • Tortilla - 10% discount.

Student Life

  • Fayre Play - The “Game and Drink” ticket gets you two rounds of games plus a drink for only 14.50 (Wednesdays to Thursdays).
  • Glasgow Film Theatre - The 15-25 Card scheme gets you standard tickets for just £5.50.
  • Tennent’s Bar - 10% discount.
  • Tenpin - 50% discount off the standard games from 6:00 p.m. on Sunday to 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
  • Top Golf - 20% discount on Thursdays.

Keep your student ID on hand in case you get asked for verification.
