Student Learning Development

'You said: we did' videos

We made several videos to showcase how feedback from students had been taken into account for several cohorts in the School of Humanities.

These have been publicised to students and are shared at several points each year, whenever the topic of feedback is raised.

We hope to

What was the motivation?

We were keen to show how we had taken into account student feedback from the NSS, class feedback and post-graduate surveys. We were keen to share influence of student voice and demonstrate the value of participating in feedback surveys and how it has helped us to make meaningful change.

What worked well and what didn’t?

All academic involved were enthusiastic about taking part, and it was really invigorating to be doings these videos: lots of positivity!

The technical side of the videos was the most challenging, I had to (re)learn video editing skills and it took a lot of time!

The videos also have been useful in showcasing the range of learning opportunities we offer with our courses too.

What would you do differently next time?

It would be good to involve someone with the technical skills!
