The QMU is open for summer - and ready for the FIFA World Cup

The Queen Margaret Union is open for business this summer and will be showing all of the FIFA World Cup matches.

The Queen Margaret Union is open for business for summer, writes Bill Blackstock, QMU General Manager.

It may be surrounded by construction work - although you can get some of the best views of the Learning and Teaching Hub site from it - but it will remain open for business over the summer to students and staff every Monday to Friday.

  • Café Twenty 2 is open from 7.30am to 2.30pm
  • The Food Factory is open from 8am to 3.30pm
  • Champions Bar is open from 4pm to 11pm

The Champions Bar will also be showing all of the FIFA World Cup matches with kick-offs at 1pm/4pm and 7pm, including weekends, commencing 14 June.

In response to popular demand, the QMU's "Brunch" is back in time for Graduation in the Bistro Scran, commencing Monday, 18 June, from12 noon until 6pm. Customers will receive a complimentary tea, coffee or fruit juice. Bottles of Prosecco will also be available. And there will be avocado toast or simple Scrancakes on the menu too.
