Former NASA astronaut Dr. Michael Foale is coming to UofG on 5 February for a special event discussing his life in space.

Former NASA astronaut Dr. Michael Foale is coming to UofG on 5 February for a special event discussing his life in space.

The Pint of Science event will be held in the Bute Hall from 1900 and has been organised in partnership with The International Space School Trust. Dr. Foale, who was recently inducted into the United States Astronaut Hall of Fame, will be discussing his life as an astronaut with NASA and as the most experienced British-born astronaut in the history of human space travel.

He has clocked over 373 days in space and was the first Briton to perform a space walk, during which he saved the Hubble Space Telescope. You can expect exclusive video footage from space and incredible stories from one of the most experienced NASA astronauts. 

There are no age restrictions for this event; children are welcome but will need a ticket and a special student price is available. Students who are aged 18 years old and over can also buy at the special student price, please bring some valid ID of your student status.

Pint of Science is an annual science festival that takes place every May and brings researchers to local pubs to show audiences the latest happenings in the world of science.
