RSE Enterprise Fellowships, Converge Challenge and ICURe info session

Save the date: 2-4.30pm, Tuesday, 22 January

‌This session will provide information to anyone interested in applying for the RSE Enterprise Fellowships, Converge Challenge and ICURe schemes.

The event will take place in the Kelvin Meeting room, No 11 the Square. The session will provide a short talk on each of these schemes, followed by Q&A.

Programme
14.00-14.30
Converge Challenge is the largest business competition and entrepreneurial training programme in Scotland specifically designed for Universities and Research Institutes. It provides training, hands-on mentoring, business support and cash prizes up to £50,000.

Adam Kosterka from Converge Challenge will give a short talk about the competition, how to apply and provide an overview on the support available to help you with your business idea.

14.30-15.00
RSE Enterprise Fellowships are designed to enable an individual to advance the commercialisation of existing research results or technological developments. Hannah Charter from the Royal Society of Edinburgh will be speaking.

15.00-15.30
The ICURe Innovation-to-Commercialisation programme, offers university research teams with commercially-promising ideas up to £35k to ‘get out of the lab’ and validate their ideas in the marketplace. Paul Donachy,from ICURe will be speaking.

15.30-16.30
Q&A and discussion with the speakers and members of UofG staff with a role to support you in entrepreneurship or research commercialisation.
