New travel discounts available for staff

Travel to work by rail or bus? New travel discounts schemes are now available for all staff.
The University has announced the launch of two travel discount schemes for staff to help reduce the cost of their commute, whether travelling by bus or rail.
Rail Season Ticket Loans
This scheme allows staff to obtain an interest-free travel loan from the University in order to purchase their annual train season ticket. Annual rail tickets are the most cost effective ticket option for those who travel to work by train on a daily basis.
Repayments are made in 10 equal monthly deductions straight from your salary for your 12-month annual pass.
Bus Travel Discount Scheme
This scheme allows staff to obtain a 10% discount on their monthly mTicket from First Bus Glasgow. Furthermore, once signed up to the scheme, this discounted fare will be locked in for a full year.
Payment will be made directly to First Bus Glasgow via Direct Debit.
