University apologises for email error

The UofG has apologised to the students, alumni, friends and members of staff who received an email sent from the Alumni Office on Wednesday 31 January with the heading: ‘BAcc 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner - could you be our Class Champion?’.
The UofG has apologised to the students, alumni, friends and members of staff who received an email sent from the Alumni Office on Wednesday 31 January with the heading: ‘BAcc 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner - could you be our Class Champion?’.
The distribution of this test email happened because of a systems error. The University is currently conducting an investigation to establish the cause, and will put measures in place to prevent it happening again.
A message from the University offered a sincere apology, and also assured recipients that no personal data had been compromised. The UofG records and respects all preferences of how the University community wishes to be contacted.
