The University of Glasgow has moved up three places to 24 in the UK in the Complete University Guide...continuing steady progress over the past five years.

The UofG now ranks 18th in the Russell Group, up from 19th in 2018 and has solidified our 3rd position in Scotland.

Glasgow tops the subject tables for five subjects: Education, Nursing, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine and Drama, Dance & Cinematics.

Glasgow is currently the Times/Sunday Times Scottish University of the Year and rose 8 places to 80th in last year’s Times Higher Education World ranking.

A UofG spokesperson told MyGlasgow News: "Whilst league tables should be treated with caution they underline our belief that the University of Glasgow provides a superb teaching, research and study environment along with one of the best student experiences in the country.

"Over the next few years we will be investing £1bn in redeveloping and expanding our campus in the west end of the city. At the same time we are continuing to expand our widening access programmes to ensure that whatever a student’s background if they have ambition and talent they will be welcome at Glasgow."
