Shining Light on Medieval Manuscripts 

Friends of Glasgow University Library presents a talk by Professor Andrew Beeby, (Department of Chemistry, University of Durham). 

Professor Beeby will deliver his lecture in the Talk Lab on Level 3 of the University Library on Tuesday, 27 March, at 7 p.m. All are very welcome to attend this event, which will be followed by refreshments and is hosted by the Friends of the Library (FGUL) https://friendsofgul.org/

Since 2013, the Durham-based research group Team-Pigment – comprising Professor Andrew Beeby (chemist), Professor Richard Gameson (historian) and Dr Kate Nicholson (chemist) – have conducted detailed, definitive scientific studies of over 200 books ranging from the 5th to the 15th centuries, revealing new information about the methods used for their production.

Festival Indonesia

The Indonesian Students Association of Greater Glasgow are hosting an event this Saturday called Festival Indonesia where they will be selling Indonesian dishes as well as showcasing performances.

Special performances by Gamelan Orchestra by Nagamas Group, Angklung Musical Performance, Saman Traditional Dance and many more.
