Gibson Street roadworks expected to cause delays

Road will be temporarily closed eastbound for resurfacing
The University has learned that Glasgow City Council will close part of Gibson Street to westbound traffic (from Charing Cross towards University Avenue), from next Wednesday (22 January) for two weeks.
The works are for road resurfacing between the roundabout outside the Old Schoolhouse to the junction with Otago Street, as per the map below. The road will remain open to traffic eastbound (from University Avenue towards Charing Cross).
Glasgow City Council will signpost diversions, however delays are likely, particularly when travelling from the city centre to the University. Roads in the Woodlands area also may be busier than usual.
