National Sporting Heritage Day on 30 September, was established in 2014 to raise awareness of the rich sporting heritage that exists in the UK, writes Rachael Egan, Heritage Engagement Officer.

We have a brilliant sporting heritage at the University of Glasgow with records and photographs of the University's sports teams kept in the Archives.

‌Sport is still an important part of University of Glasgow life and an extension to the Stevenson Sports facility is nearing  completion. The extension will provide state of the art facilities to continue supporting sporting talent at the University .
