Who are we?

Student Volunteers Abroad is a student-run charity based at the University of Glasgow. Since 1998, we have been sending volunteers to work on summer projects across the developing world for the relief of poverty. This summer we have projects in Malawi, Kenya, Indonesia

Our aims

SVA as a charity has three main aims in the work that we do:

1. To work with local organisations on sustainable projects for the relief of poverty.

2. To promote awareness and education, among students, of the social and environmental
issues that affect the developing world.

3. To promote cultural links and encourage cultural exchange.
