The first call for applications for the new “Nova Domus” Erasmus Mundus project has just been launched and University of Glasgow doctoral, post-doctoral and staff candidates are encouraged to apply.

The project aims to facilitate research and education links across a consortium of universities in Europe and North America in the fields of medical sciences, public health, natural sciences and engineering – primarily with a focus on human health, well-being and communication.

This project offers exciting opportunities for doctoral, post-doctoral and staff candidates working in the relevant fields to undertake a period of research/ work/ training (1-11 months depending on level) in one of the partner universities in North America for the benefit of both the individual, and also their wider research area.

Successful applicants will receive a scholarship which includes a stipend of €1500 - €2500 per month (depending on level), insurance and a contribution of up to €2000 for their travel costs.

For full details on the project, the specific research areas offered at each participating North American university and how to apply, please see the project website: http://novadomus.ub.edu/.

The deadline for applications is 5 April 2014.

Please contact Lynsey Dinwoodie, Lynsey.dinwoodie@glasgow.ac.uk, European Exchanges Coordinator with any specific queries or to find out more.
