Social interaction is central to the FutureLearn experience, enabling people to learn actively by engaging in conversations around the learning material, or vicariously, by following discussions. FutureLearn has also been designed to work on smart phones, tablets and desktop computers, so that learners can enjoy the same high-quality user experience, regardless of the screen size. ‌

Frank Coton, Vice-Principal Learning and Teaching said:” ”It is important that the University of Glasgow is at the forefront of this development to allow us to gain expertise in the emerging strategies for supporting successful on-line learning.  These should, in the future, help us to enhance our on-campus delivery and support our transnational education initiatives.  The MOOCs we provide will also enable us to connect to different and new audiences.”
