Applications for Principal’s Early Career Development Funding are now being accepted for session 2013-14.  The fund supports PhD students and post-doctoral researchers from the University of Glasgow who want to visit/conduct research at Columbia University, New York.

It was established in 2012 to strengthen our institutional partnership agreement with Columbia, and enhance research links between the two universities. Now in its second year, the award gives researchers from both institutions the opportunity to work closely together to develop high-impact research themes and identify areas of potential partnership development.

Eight applications were approved in session 12/13, which helped a wide range of PhD students/post-doctoral researchers from across the University to enhance their professional, academic and personal skills. All of last year’s recipients have commented favourably on the scheme, stressing the value it has added to their current research, as well as the opportunities it has provided for future collaborations.

Full details about the fund - including details on how to apply - can be found here: Principal’s Early Career Development Fund (Glasgow/Columbia)

Please note that applications must be submitted by Friday 8 November 2013.
