Have you ever wondered how to pronounce the Gaelic on the bilingual signs that are appearing around the campus? Well, come along to one of the Gaelic Language Initiative pronunciation sessions and find out!‌

Gaelic signage on campus

These sessions are an informal opportunity to learn how to pronounce the Gaelic featured on the University’s bilingual signs. You don't need to have any Gaelic to attend as these sessions will be run in English. Free tea and coffee will be provided, and you are welcome to bring your lunch along with you if you wish! Two sessions will be running in November, one for students and one for staff:

Staff Session: Tuesday 5 November, 1-2pm, Arts Meeting Room, 6 University Gardens

Student Session: Tuesday 12 November, 1-2pm, Williams Room, John McIntyre Building

Please contact Shona Masson shona.masson@glasgow.ac.uk to reserve a seat, stating which session you would like to attend, and what area of the University you study/work in. Booking is essential.

Fàilte chrìdheil air luchd-obrach & oileanaich air fad  /  All staff and students very welcome
