Tim Gore, Director, Global Networks and Communities for the University of London to be keynote speaker at Internationalisation Conference

Tim Gore OBE, the Director, Global Networks and Communities for the University of London International Programmes, will be the keynote speaker at the Internationalisation Conference taking place on Thursday 14 NOvember in the Gilbert Scott main building.

University of London International Programmes is a unique and historic system of distance and flexible learning with 52,000 students in over 180 countries. Tim's main role is the development of the networks and communities of stakeholders that are crucial to reputation and brand of the International Programmes. As such he oversees planning and implementation of worldwide communications and marketing campaigns; the development of a global network of over 100 independent institutions; relationships with in-country stakeholders such as regulators and employers; and the alumni network. Tim has held a number of senior leadership roles with the British Council, including leading the establishment of the British University in Dubai and developing the £26 million UK India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI) which established over 200 educational partnerships between the two countries. Tim is a regular speaker on university international strategy; reputation; transnational education; online delivery and MOOCs and student experience.

The conference format will be a mixture of small sessions or workshops with plenary keynote sessions. It is hoped the smaller sessions will facilitate discussion and interchange among the participants, and the overall conference format will contribute to the sharing of knowledge amongst University staff. Registration for the conference is now closed.
