The University has awarded funding to seven PhD students and post-doctoral researchers, as part of the Principal’s Early Career Mobility Fund.

These awards support the University's partnership agreement with Columbia University (New York), by giving researchers from both institutions the opportunity to work closely together to develop high-impact research themes.

This year’s candidates represent a broad range of disciplines from across the University, including Law, Business, Biomedical Engineering, Immunology, Education, and Film and Television. In return, Columbia University is funding three of their PhD Students/Postdocs to make research visits to Glasgow. These are in the areas of High Energy Physics, Bioengineering and Earth Sciences.
