Early career researchers to represent Glasgow in China

Three Early Career Researchers will represent Glasgow at a Universitas 21 workshop at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in December 2012

Three Early Career Researchers will represent Glasgow at a Universitas 21 workshop at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in December 2012. Dr. Tim Barker and Dr. Yupin Chung from College of Arts, and Dr. Hong Liu from College of Social Sciences will contribute to the workshop on the theme of Ecological Urban Design.

Glasgow is a founding member of the prestigious Universitas 21 network of universities, which is behind the event. Dr Tim Barker who is a Lecturer in the School of Culture and Creative Arts will bring his experience of digital media theory and aesthetics, Dr Yupin Chung has strong links to China through the Scottish Centre for China Research and is currently working on the influence of Chinese mythology on social sculpture, and Dr Hong Liu will offer a different perspective through his research into carbon finance for new build projects.
