A BBC Radio 4 programme, Four thoughts, is looking to hear from colleagues at the University of Glasgow who might have an idea for the programme.

Every August BBC Radio 4’s broadcasts a series of thought-provoking talks in which speakers air their thinking on the trends, ideas, interests and passions that affect culture and society. thttp://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b010q0n0

Four Thoughts normally select speakers who are in Edinburgh for the Book Festival. But the production team is keen to hear from colleagues at the University of Glasgow who might have an idea that would work on the programme. The only limit to the subject is your own imagination. Previous output has included talks on the limits of the human body's capacity for regeneration;  why humans have middle age; questioning whether lying is so bad after all;  arguing that being a child today is the best time ever; and stating that today’s politicians are really rather good.

If you have an idea that you think might work or would like more information contact Peter Aitchison in Corporate Communications on 0141 330 7350; peter.aitchison@glasgow.ac.uk and we will put you in touch with the team at BBC Radio 4.
