University of Glasgow delivers Loyal Address to Her Majesty The Queen

The Chancellor of the University, Sir Kenneth Calman, presented a loyal address to The Queen at Buckingham Palace to mark Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee

The Chancellor of the University of Glasgow, Sir Kenneth Calman, presented a loyal address to The Queen at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday 27 March  to mark Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee. This part of Sir Kenneth’s address:

“Your Royal House has created endowments and established chairs in our University and we have been privileged to confer Honorary Degrees on your Royal Grandfather and Grandmother, your Royal Father and Mother and His Royal Highness The Prince Charles.

The University of Glasgow has, since 1451, nurtured Nobel Laureates, Statesmen, scientists inventors and thinkers. The university remains committed through learning and discovery to improve the prospects and quality of life for all your peoples within the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and the wider world.”
