University of Glasgow Professor Joins Government Advisory Group.

Ade Kearns, Professor of Urban Studies, has been invited to join policy-makers and practitioners as a member of The Scottish Government’s Regeneration Stakeholder Group.

Ade Kearns, Professor of Urban Studies, has been invited to join policy-makers and practitioners as a member of  The Scottish Government’s Regeneration Stakeholder Group.  The group has been established to assist The Scottish Government in the implementation and monitoring of its Regeneration Strategy Achieving a Sustainable Future, which provides the framework for public policy interventions in disadvantaged communities and areas of decline inScotland.

Ade is the Principal Investigator on the GoWell Programme (www.gowellonline.com) which is a long-term study of the effects of housing investment and regeneration on deprived communities inGlasgow.  The programme is sponsored by The Scottish Government, NHS HealthScotland and others, and has helped to promote a greater focus on health and wellbeing outcomes for individuals, families and communities.
