Sports Injuries collaboration at SRS

Did you know that Sport & Recreation offer a great sports injury and physiotherapy service?

The University's Sport & Recreation Service hosts a satellite clinic for sports injuries and other physiotherapy needs, run by Hampden Sport Injury Clinic.  The Clinic is celebrating its tenth year of existence, and a longstanding partnership with the University.

The clinic, based at 64 Oakfield Avenue, opposite the Stevenson Building is open on a weekly basis offering rapid access to physiotherapy at a preferably discounted rate to University staff, students and members of Sport & Recreation. The clinic allows us access to the level of injury assessment, diagnosis and rehabilitation expected by elite athletes. It serves clients of any age, sporting ability or even those not involved in sport at all!

With experience in Occupational Health, the clinic is able to treat and advise on non-sporting issues such as:
• Neck or low back pain
• General joint or muscle problems
• Repetitive strain complaints
• Postural, workstation or moving and handling related problems

All very useful to University of Glasgow staff! More detailes of the service can be found in the attched pdf. To book an appointment at the University Clinic, call 0141 330 4540 or call in to the Stevenson Building Reception.
