Teams Voice

The University of Glasgow will move away from physical phones to use Microsoft Teams Voice for all external and internal calls.

  • Guidance will be available as Teams Voice is rolled out in phases across campus


  • We can lower the University's overall carbon footprint and use less power by reducing the number of telephone handsets required
  • You will be able to use Microsoft Teams to make telephone calls within and outside the University, enabling you to make and answer calls wherever you are
  • Conferencing and collaboration will be easier, as Microsoft Teams Voice integrates into other Office 365 applications
  • Provision of a support centre that will provide a range of options for internal support, student recruitment and support services within the University, with capability to implement omni-channel contact centre - including telephony, email, web chat and social media
