Binding: France, 18th-century red goatskin decorated with triple gold fillets, a small gold fleuron at each corner;  gold-tooled spine;  gilt-edged leaves;  marbled endpapers;  green silk bookmark.   Size:  294 x 210 mm.
Leaf size: 287 x 199 mm.
Annotations: "Quaestio" headings numbered "1" to "30" written in the margins in red ink in a 16th-century hand;  washed-out marginal annotations in brown ink discernible in gatherings 1, 7, 8, and 9;  occasional manicules and “nota” marks;  manuscript foliation in brown ink (often cropped by binder).
Decoration: Eight-line initial “O” on 1/1r supplied in red with faded brown and yellow pen decoration;  seven-line initial “C” on 14/2r (f. 114r) supplied in red with brown and yellow pen decoration;  occasional paragraph marks and capital strokes supplied in red.
Imperfections: Wanting the final blank leaf.
