Provenance: Jacques de Malenfant, Seigneur de Preyssac (ca.1530 - ca.1603):  inscriptions in Greek on front pastedown “εκ τῶν βιβλιών Ιακώβου του Μαλινφαντίου Τολωσάνου ἐν Λουτεκία αφξδ [i.e. 1564]”, Malenfant’s motto “ἄνω κὰι μῂ κάτω”, followed by a quotation in Greek beginning ‘Παντὸς ἀρχομένω ...’ (Demosthenes, ‘Letters’, I);  see also Binding.
Robert Hoblyn, (1710-1756), politician:  'Bibliotheca Hoblyniana: sive, catalogus librorum, juxta exemplar, quod manu suâ maximâ ex parte descriptum reliquit Robertus Hoblyn ...' (Londini: J. Murray, 1769), p. 189;  Hoblyn sale, 2 Mar. 1778 onwards;  lot 5017 in 'Bibliotheca Hoblyniana ...'
