Ebenezer Palmer (19th century), bookseller, London:  bookseller’s ticket on front pastedown “Ebenezer Palmer.  Bookseller. 18, Paternoster Row, London, E.C. Estd. 1819”. William Euing (1788-1874), insurance broker, Glasgow:  purchased from Palmer 4 July 1863 according to Euing’s pencil acquisition note with price code on verso of front free endpaper “4 7 63 Palmer i/-” together with his inventory number “No 1506” (an earlier Euing inventory number “93” appears on front pastedown);  source confirmed in Euing’s acquisitions inventory (University of Glasgow MS Euing 49). University of Glasgow:  Euing bequest, 1874.
Binding:	Italy, 17th/18th-century parchment;  manuscript spine title;  sprinkled brown and red-edged leaves;  possible 18th/19th-century(?) shelfmark in ink on front cover “T(?) 26” or “I(?) 26”.   Size:  204 x 132 mm.

Annotations:	Unread ownership inscription on front free endpaper dated “1825”(?);  various pencil numberings (price codes?) on front pastedown and a possible date “2/62”;  ink notation resembling an ampersand on rear pastedown.
