Provenance: Schönau, Hesse-Nassau, Benedictines, S. Florinus:  15th/16th-century inscription on 1/1r 'Libru[m] istu[m] [con]tulit s[an]c[t]o florino in sconaug d[omi]n[u]s osualdus pleban[us] n[oste]r in lipporn req[ui]escat in pace' followed by manuscript title in a different hand and by a shelfmark 'H XII P' (the latter in red ink);  shelfmark 'B8' in black ink on fore-edge;  shelfmark 'H.xij' in black ink on lower edge.

William Euing (1788-1874), insurance broker, Glasgow:  source unknown;  an early Euing inventory number '60' in pencil on front pastedown and verso of front free endpaper.

Annotations: Occasional early marginal annotations, nota marks and corrections of text, e.g. in quire 7.
Decoration: Seven-line initial ‘C’ on 19/6v (f. 154v) supplied in dull red on a square ground of brown pen-work decoration extending into the centre margin;  a similar six-line initial ‘V’ on 23/1r (f. 185r);  all other initials supplied in red;  paragraph marks in red.
