Annotations: Incipit in red in a 15th-century hand on 2/6r (f. 16r);  occasional marginal annotations and interlinear corrections in a 16th-century hand;  occasional manicules and nota marks;  16th-century foliation (with errors and with many leaf numbers cropped) from 2/6 (f. 16) to end;  a few references to that foliation in the Table of contents.
Decoration: Four-line initial “C” on 2/6r (f. 16r), seven-line initial “Q” on 2/7v (f. 17v), five-line initial “I” on 2/10v (f. 20v) supplied in red and blue with reserved white;  other initials throughout supplied in red or blue;  capital strokes in yellow throughout;  occasional paragraph marks and line-fillers in red.
Imperfections: Wanting the blank leaves 1/1-2.

Note: The final leaf 29/8 containing the colophon has probably been extracted from another copy of this edition:  it is mounted on a stub and is smaller (312 x 215 mm) than the other leaves in the volume;  it also has a distinctive decoration (red line-fillers and paragraph marks, with capital strokes in yellow) quite unlike the decoration in the rest of the volume.

Decoration: In quires 1-5 several small initials are supplied in blue, green or crimson and embellished in dull gold, and the letters or words immediately following those initials often highlighted in dull gold;  many other initials supplied in plain blue or crimson.
